International Human Rights Day Celebration
Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The date was chosen to honour the United Nations General Assembly's adoption and proclamation, on 10th December 1948, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the first global enunciation of the human rights and one of the first major achievements of the new United Nations. The UDHR is a milestone document, which proclaims the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Available in more than 500 languages, it is the most translated document in the world.
On this auspicious day, we had arranged a small program where efforts of various people in making the society a better place was being honoured with the prestigious shamman titled "Manav Ratna Shamman" , "Manav Shree Shamman" and "Manav Kalyan Shamman". Their Sterling Excellent Work & Valuable Contribution was being honoured with these awards.
